Participants in the program typically meet weekly for 6-12 sessions in an online or in-person format, to learn about the 12 PAVING Wheel steps and how to implement them into their lives. The group is led by a healthcare practitioner who educates and facilitates group discussion.

Dr. Tollefson is on the executive board of this non-profit organization. All proceeds from the PAVING the Path to Wellness Workbook as well as the PAVING a Woman’s Path through Menopause and Beyond, that she co-authored with Drs. Beth Frates and Amy Comander, go to the non-profit organization.
Based on the principles of lifestyle medicine, the PAVING program focuses on the whole person-body, mind, and spirit- with the goal to empower individuals to live healthier lives with a sense of purpose.

Dr. Tollefson leads PAVING the Path to Wellness groups, including groups of breast cancer survivors as well as groups focused on menopause, midlife, and beyond, through the PAVING Program.
